Bought two packs, Vanilla and Chocolate with the new formula and new name. What has happened!!!
The previous flavours were amazing and not completely overpowered by the Soy flavour. It’s now fairly unpalatable with a weird consistency. The soy taste is so overpowering it doesn’t taste like vanilla at all. Very disappointed with the new change. It would be great to know why this occurred?
Ordered this to give it a try vs the standard vanilla. Just *assumed* they were going to be the same size pouches. Quite shocked to see it is only 1Kg pouch. Don't quite get the price difference, 1.75Kg standard vanilla is $55, yeh low-card vanilla is $61 for 1Kg. How does that work exactly? It's too expensive. Disappointing.
The low-carbs are quite a different product to the regular powders and are a lot more expensive to manufacture due to the different ingredients.
Love the product for the most part. It ticks all of the boxes nutritionally and keeps me feeling full, but the new formulation just isn't as good.
It tastes like cardboard, and has a chalky texture regardless of how much water I use or how hard/long I shake it up for. In comparison, the old one had a distinct vanilla taste and a little bit of sweetness; It also shook up perfectly every time into a nice liquid with no suspended particles that give that chalky texture in the new one. Great if you're adding stuff to it (e.g. coffee, or some fruit if you're blending it instead of using a shaker), but drinking it straight now can be a bit of a chore where before it was quite pleasant.
The only plus I can give to the new formulation is that it does seem to incorporate the olive oil better than before, where the old one you'd have to drink quickly or re-shake it periodically to avoid a film of oil developing on the top of the shake.
Tastes really nice. Love that I can add more calories if I need them with some olive oil. Added a scoop of matcha powder and it tastes delicious!
