my safe meal

I really enjoy the chocolate and the new high protein chocolate is nice too yes they are very chalky in flavor and texture but a little bit of instant coffee and a little bit of Milo it ends up tasting like chocolate Weet-Bix.

Not as healthy that way but I don't eat much so my partner is happy Im having something healthy-ish

Hi, I have been somewhat disappointed with the

Hi,
I have been somewhat disappointed with the shakes as I feel they are quite watery, even using soy milk instead.
I am unsure what consistency they are supposed to be but I was expecting a shake with more substance.

Qota low-carb powders do make a smoother thinner shake that the Qota Complete powders. I can see that you have purchase a sample pack of our Complete Powder and you'll find the shake is a lot thicker and will leave you feeling fuller as it is also a bigger meal.

I regert buying QOTA. Do not buy.

I do not recommend buying QOTA. The taste is poor, and it made me feel sick to my stomach. I have tried many meal replacement products before and have never become ill. They also do not include a scope.

Reminds me of the Old Spice ads.... freaking awesome

Have been buying this product (vanilla) on and off for the last few years and loving it. I tend to have this as my breakfast on the go.. Banana, frozen mixed berries(or fresh berries with some ice cubes), Qota powder, and lite milk... blend it and it turns to diamonds... now I'm on a horse.

Ok

I ordered 2 chocolate. Tasted disgusting. Didn't taste like chocolate at all. More like vanilla, even though the packet states chocolate. I did email, and the customer service was fantastic I must admit.

Good full meal replacement

While not the tastiest thing in the world - QOTA does great job at replacing a full meal, without giving a sense of being too full. I like taking it after my evening gym session as a dinner replacement.

Great product

I've been using Aussielent since it first came out on and off, it's great for feeling good and weight loss, however I have to take a point off due to the bag it comes in and the mess of getting the 125g serving size, it would be nice if QOTA did another product with pre served sachets instead for on the go!
Otherwise amazing product and quick delivery times!!

The Best Flavour Available!

If you have had the other flavours and have been turned off, try this instead!
The flavour is still mild, but it isn't bad in any way. It tastes like Moroccan spice mix was used to flavour it!
It acts as a great base unlike the sweet flavours because you can add spices -- instead of sweet things that add extra sugar -- and have something that tastes better in whatever way you like.

I like to just add some black pepper, and that gives it the kick it needs, but you can add extra Moroccan spice and it will still taste great. You can also add any other additions, but I prefer to keep it simple, it is easy that way.

I've taken it to work a few times for lunch, and just keeping a scoop with you, you can easily make up a quick batch, immensely easier than with the shakes.

love the chocolate

I feel like people don't use enough powder or too much water.
It has a nice chocolatey flavour.

Gritty isn't the right word, which I've seen some reviews say. It's more like Metamucil to me, which is to be expected when you are getting 500 calories in one hit... It's not going to dissolve like pure sugar Milo!

Bad taste

Tried the chocolate flavour but didn't finish the meal due to taste.
Doesn't really have a chocolate flavour. Tastes more like oat milk.
It mixes easily though.

Great

I've really been enjoying it so far. It has a mild taste on its own, which I think makes it a flexible base for add-ons. I have tried mixing in tomato paste and nutritional yeast and really liked that combo.

I also prefer to make it with less water than suggested on the packaging, so the texture is chewier. I even find it quite nice to eat dry out of the bag, it's very crunchy.

So for me it's super convenient compared to having to make a shake which can be quite a lot of cleanup. Good stuff and have ordered more, thank you.

Amazing, and affordable too.

The only savoury/non-shake/etc. meal replacement I've been able to find that actually tastes pretty good. Not just 'palatable' but actually good.

It's become my go to when I'm feeling too lazy to even throw things into the instant pot, or those days when I've had one too many cheeky calories (or know there's a big meal coming up later in the day) and this helps me feel very full on a fairly low amount of calories (without skimping on macros - 'meal replacements' that are in the 200 calorie range, regardless of volume, don't cut it for me).

Keen to try out some of the ideas suggested by others to mix up the flavour a bit as well!

Light Chocolate hit on the go

I've been getting this since 2015!
Great for breakfast or lunch. I found that varying the water ratio helps to customise it to your own taste.
Even better if made with chilled water or tap water then kept in the fridge to chill before drinking.

Suitable

Tried the savoury, usually get the shakes. The flavour is a bit bland, but inoffensive. Will probably stick to the shakes in the future.

Problem Solver

I have disability issues which make food and eating difficult. I ordered some soylent to see if it could help me solve a nutrition problem. Initially I didn't find luck with it because for me the satiety factor was low, I would drink it and feel really hungry. I worked with it and I think I have the problem solved. I ordered some packets of instant oats. I prepare the oats with as minimal water as I need from the kettle to get the oats to dissolve. I let the oats cool down because I don't want to risk cooking any nutrients out of the soylent. I add the full amount of soylent and then for extra calories I put in enough milk to cover it and mix it in. The end mixture is thick and can be eaten with a spoon. Whether its the additional fibre from the oats, or the more solid food factor the resulting mixture leaves me satiated.

If I want to make it tastier I can add a banana and some caramel syrup.

Flavourless/Gritty/Stomach Pains

Just want to preface this with the fact I am not allergic or intolerant to any of the Major Allergens listed on this product, nor any that I can see in the ingredients.

I bought the sampler of this and shook it up with filtered water, after thoroughly shaking it (using a blenderbottle, which are specifically amazing at making other supps super smooth) the product was extremely gritty, like drinking fine-to-coarse sand. It had absolutely no flavor, despite being marketed as chocolate. I drank the product at a regular pace and ended up with stomach cramps after doing so. I was really hoping to have something that I could drink at Breakfast/Lunches to tide me over on busy days, but I am extremely dissapointed in this.

I've got Vanilla Samples, Low-Carb Vanilla samples (which were close to out of date) and RTD's to try, but I am not confident and pretty annoyed after blowing around $90 on this.

Finally something that works!

I love the concept of meal replacement shakes but I'm not that into sweet flavours.

I also struggle to feel full unless I've actually undergone the act of eating.

This solves all the problems in one, I love it! Plus it's so much easier to augment without ruining my macros as unlike a sweet shake I can add different proteins to mix it up.

Thanks Daniel. Moroccan Couscous is great for work for those times when a shake isn't great but you want a macro portioned meal that's high in protein. Cheers Paul

Hot, delicious, filling

The biggest problem I have with meal replacement solutions like Aussielent is that when it's cold the last thing I want for a meal is a cold drink. I was very excited to see a hot and savoury solution, and this is everything I wanted it to be. It tastes excellent, it's easy to make and the portions are filling. Please make more things!

Yuck!

Despite being chocolate, it has no sweetness whatsoever. It tastes like a mix of chalk dust and ground up nuts. The color gray comes to mind when choking this down. The texture is really smooth, though, so I assume if it actually tasted good I'd really like it. I am unsure if I am experiencing a batch issue, or if it really is just that bad.

Perfect addition to my Aussielent rotation.

I've been loving Aussielent for months now, and the addition of a hot meal into the range is great! The taste and texture are awesome, and while out camping, having a hot bowl of tasty food that takes only a few minutes to prep is ideal. I add a bit of tofu and some greens to mine to make a slightly more filling meal, but the couscous on it's own is more than enough!

This is PERFECT. Almost too hot for my wimpy taste buds. Tasty! Vegan! Hot meal yum!

re: couscous
THANK YOU everyone - I know it is a team effort.
This is PERFECT. Almost too hot for my wimpy taste buds. Tasty! Vegan! Hot meal yum!

This might be useful for others? Sometimes I use a bit less couscous
When I want more texture I add some broccoli. For a change of taste I add tomato paste and coconut yogurt. ( about one part t paste to about 3 or 4 parts yogurt )

Will be ordering more, when I need. For me this is much more palatable than the um "shakes". I use it when the pain is too awful and I just cannot cook, and for when the depressions is dominating me. So its in my "tool kit for troubled times"

again Thank you everyone who helps make all this possible. * was delivered very quickly too.

Awesome idea to add Broccoli and Coconut yougurt, we are trying this in the office.

My only comparison I have is with Huel who have more of a variety in flavours. I haven't tried the cous cous yet but it sounds fabulous and will definitely be giving it a go. I have the chocolate and salted caramel which I enjoy.

Hi Nic

Nice to hear that we compare well to Huel. This year we are working on our Savoury products and Ready to Drink as our priorities. We will have more news on these products coming later this year.

Cheers Paul
