Ka'Chava in Australia: What It Costs and What Else to Try

|Qota Nutrition

Ka'Chava doesn't actually ship directly to Australia so the only reliable local delivery route is iHerb Australia, where a 7-serve bag costs about $70, or roughly $10 a serve (ouch!).   Here's what you get for that, and an alternate Australian-made option at $4.21 a meal.

Can you buy Ka'Chava in Australia?

Not directly. Ka'Chava is a US brand and ships to US addresses only. Its own help centre directs international customers to iHerb. There is no Australian Ka'Chava website, distributor or retail stockist.

That leaves three routes:

  • iHerb Australia has several flavours are listed in a 434g (7-serve) bag, GST included. Free delivery starts at $80, so one bag attracts a delivery fee.
  • Freight forwarders — possible, but Ka'Chava says it declines orders sent to known forwarding addresses.
  • Marketplace resellers — third-party listings on sites like eBay can run to several hundred dollars delivered. Check the seller and the best-before date carefully.

Supplement or meal replacement?

Ka'Chava describes itself as an "all-in-one nutrition shake" with "85+ superfoods, nutrients, and plant-based ingredients". In Australia it is sold in the supplements category and isn't labelled as a formulated meal replacement.

QOTA is made and labelled to the Australian standard for formulated meal replacements (FSANZ Standard 2.9.3), which sets minimum energy, protein and vitamin and mineral levels per serve. Like every formulated meal replacement, it replaces a meal and can be used for 1 or 2 main meals of the day.
